Katja Knežević is a Brussels-based Croatian poet and short story writer.
In 2012 she was awarded the first prize at the Sea of Words competition with the short story “Invisible Mother”. In 2014 she won the Croatian national award for young poets with the manuscript “Birches made of glass”. The collection was then published in April 2015.
She writes in both Croatian and English and is mostly interested in exploring themes of identity, compromise and memory.
Katja will be performing at Manchester Museum from 6pm on 14th May 2015.
